Because of a flurry of new client activity in its core business, Cortland Advisors, LLC, an international Mergers & Acquisitions consulting company, announced today that has promoted four of its senior advisors to become general managers of its largest and fastest growing markets.
“We are fortunate to have a very deep bench of talent, so we were able to internally tap these four executives to help run our largest, and busiest American markets,” said Randy Coppersmith, Chairman & CEO of Cortland. “I’m certain they will help us continue to expand across the North America.”
Cortland, founded in 2013 in Winter Park, FL, specializes in consulting $20-100mm revenue-sized companies through the M&A process. Cortland, which is privately held, is having a record year and anticipates further growth in a burgeoning global M&A market.
All four of the executives have a great deal of knowledge in the M&A arena, and bring years of corporate experience to Cortland’s clients.
The Four New General Managers:
- Bambo Bamgbose — Washington, DC/Mid-Atlantic.
Bamgbose recently managed the sale of a government IT Services Company, where he was CFO, in Rockville, MD. He has over 20 years of M&A experience. Bamgbose, who was also named a corporate Managing Director, and his team will maintain key financial contacts not only on the East Coast of the U.S., but will also continue key contacts in Europe and Africa. He will be based out of the company’s Middleburg, VA location.
- Bob Hagan — Orlando/Florida.
Hagan, a professional mortgage banker and broker for over 40 years, joined Cortland in 2017. He remains as President of Hagan Mortgage Associates, Inc., which he founded in 1998. Hagan and his team of advisors will focus on transactions throughout Florida and the Caribbean. Hagan lives in the Tampa area, but will now be based out of the firm’s headquarters in Winter Park.
- Jeff Kays — Dallas/Southwest.
Kays, a well-known professional executive coach, joined Cortland’s Consulting subsidiary three years ago. A 25-year veteran of the telecommunications and information technology industries, Jeff’s prior leadership positions include work with Texas Institute; AltiGen Communications, Inc.; and Alliance Systems, Inc., with additional leadership roles with National Health Enhancement Systems and VS3 Systems. He now runs Cortland’s office in Dallas and will also oversee the firm’s transactions throughout the Southwestern United States including Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arizona and Colorado.
- Ed Vaccaro — Atlanta/South.
Vaccaro, also a Cortland Senior Vice President in its consulting group, is a former senior executive with Unisys and Booz Allen Hamilton. Vaccaro oversees Cortland activities throughout the Deep South, including the Carolinas, Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, Arkansas and Mississippi. The Atlanta-based office specializes in working with clients in the Automotive, Software and Technology industries.
The Washington location is the largest of the company’s six locations, featuring 10 senior advisors. The firm is slated to add two more advisors by year-end. All to be based in the company’s Middleburg, VA co-headquarters.
Orlando is the company’s headquarters location. Based in suburban Winter Park, where the firm was founded, the team, in addition to Hagan, includes seven advisors with two more planned before year-end.
